Our Story

FCM’s two-room abode grew significantly after the initial successes. Something that was only kneaded with hands for family and was the spark of occasional feasts, transcended slowly and subtly into the sphere of the competitive business market. 2016 marks the year when this startup took leaps, becoming a unit, and hiring several craftsmen. 4 years after, now in the year 2020, we are now a sustainable cheeses factory in Lahore with more than 50 cheese varieties, and a cold chain to a delivery system in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad, and some other cities. Moreover, we are now slowly expanding our business to all the four provinces of Pakistan. Learn more about our making process.

We stand in high esteem for our customers and well-wishers who made the FCM journey a success, and we look forward to your love and support to turn FCM into an international standard company and we aspire to earn accolades for Pakistan. We are proud to share that FCM was nominated by Financial times & ArcylorMittal for Boldness in Business award on 26th March 2020. Our story of struggle and success has been shared on various notable blogs and news channels in USA and Pakistan, including Dawn, Sama, ARY News & Voice of America.

We have a large domestic customer base, and we deliver to a large number of restaurants and cafes while stoking at a number of retail stores in the major cities. Having many retail partners in different cities of Pakistan, we encourage our customers to taste and experience our artisanal cheeses at our live cheeses stations before purchasing. Not only that, we are humbled to announce that FCM is moving to a huge facility soon which will be able to handle the production of upto 3 tons of delicious varieties of cheeses per day.

Farmer Cheese Making

The pure love for cheese and skillful learning of authentic flavors has transformed Farmers Cheese Making (FCM) from a small-scale home kitchen to a full-fledged business endeavor. Farmers Cheese Making started in Lahore as a mere passion driven from a kitchen in the year 2008. But after a decade of learning, while keeping things authentic and traditional, we are here.

This venture is wholly self-taught, with a passion for great tasting authentic cheeses. It initially took a lot of trial and error to develop the perfect blends and flavors for each cheese variety. Now we have more than 50 cheese varieties and scores of stories behind the success of each variety. The inner passion with the blend of intensive hard work, makes us a success.

Our quest for great tasting artisanal cheese and healthy and non-processed food is slowly making a mark in the Pakistani food industry. We understand how people crave for non-processed and authentic food as we have been overwhelmed with our busy lifestyle. At this time, getting your hands on non-processed artisanal cheese is indeed a boon from heaven!

The vision that lies behind the development of this entrepreneurial setup called Farmers Cheese Making (FCM) was the genuine exploration of the art of cheese making. With time, the venture progressed its efforts to discover the magic of craftsmanship, and the skill of aging and ripening cheese to get just the right aesthetics! FCM has put its efforts to offer the rich and authentic flavors of non-processed cheese varieties with unique flavors. Our all savory and tasty categories of cheese are the perfect combination of nature’s ingredients and the art of cheese fermentation, which compel our competitors to discover ‘the secret recipe’.

Initiating something for passion alone, we never boast to have started huge. We started humble and small; with just a two room setup back in the year 2011, when the art of cheese making was a less explored avenue in the industry. Our CEO, Mr. Imran Saleh, had a penchant for Cheesemaking, who had a knack for understanding the intricacies and depth of taste, and thus finding out different recipes to produce more tasteful varieties of cheese. The passion went on without the fear of losing because this journey was embarked upon by him for the love of cheese making, rather than petty business gains. This freedom of mind granted FCM a huge room for trial and error learning. Mr. Saleh knew from the inception of this venture that nothing just turns out fine in the first place. Hence, he kept trying out different recipes of cheese making like any scientific experiment, hoping that someday at a blissful hour; he will find what he aimed for. This precisely is our story!
